AdBlue® FAQs

Quick answers to common questions about AdBlue®.

What is AdBlue®?

AdBlue® is an emissions-reduction technology for SCR-fitted diesel vehicles.

AdBlue is a 32.5% aqueous urea solution used to reduce exhaust emissions in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)-fitted diesel vehicles. AdBlue fluid is sprayed into SCR-fitted vehicle exhaust systems, where the ammonia in AdBlue interacts with Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) in exhaust emissions. This system allows for conversion of up to 90% of NOx emissions into harmless nitrogen gas and water.
